Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Ireland seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a multi-disciplinary civil engineering and utilities contractor in Kildare. You will oversee project costs, prepare budgets, and manage NEC contracts across Commercial, Roads, and Substations projects.

The role requires a 2+ year background in civil QS, strong NEC contract knowledge, and proficiency with COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 2+ years experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Proven experience with NEC contracts is essential.
• Proficient in COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all project costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
• Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
• Manage NEC contracts, including interpreting contract clauses, managing early warnings, and assessing compensation events.
• Analyse and assess variations, manage claims in compliance with NEC guidelines, and ensure timely resolution of any contract issues.
• Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
• Oversee procurement processes, negotiate with subcontractors, and manage subcontractor performance.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
