Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.

Quantity Surveyor County Mayo €50-70k

A well-established and busy Specialist Contractor based in County Mayo is looking for experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their growing team delivering specialist packages across a diverse portfolio of healthcare, commercial, education and residential developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced subcontracting environment. You will play a key role in managing the financial performance of multiple projects from tender handover through to final account, working closely with clients, project managers, site teams and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously
• Prepare, submit and negotiate interim valuations and final accounts
• Monitor project costs, budgets and profitability
• Identify, price and negotiate variations and change orders
• Procure subcontractors and suppliers where required
• Prepare cost forecasts and monthly commercial reports
• Assess and process subcontractor applications and payments
• Identify commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams
• Attend site visits, commercial meetings and progress reviews
• Ensure commercial processes are completed accurately and on time

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry
• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• Experience working for a specialist subcontractor or main contractor
• Experience managing multiple live projects
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
