Job summary

Apex Group's Apex Risk Technologies (ART) in Dublin is seeking a Quantitative Developer to advance RiskMonitor's analytics and risk capabilities. The role blends quantitative development with risk expertise, data enablement, and direct client engagement to translate requirements into scalable platform solutions.

You will work with investment teams and risk managers to design new methodologies, improve data services, and explore AI-assisted analytics while collaborating with colleagues globally

Qualifications

• Strong experience with MATLAB development.
• Strong SQL and database skills.
• Experience working with investment portfolios, financial market data and risk analytics.
• Good understanding of the risk characteristics and treatment of multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX and collective investment schemes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrable experience gathering requirements and translating business needs.

Responsibilities

• Quantitative Development & Risk Analytics:Develop, maintain and enhance RiskMonitor® quantitative analytics and risk calculation capabilities.
• Design and implement new risk methodologies, exposure calculations, stress testing capabilities and portfolio analytics.
• Support the continual enhancement of market risk, liquidity risk and exposure monitoring.
• Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
• Ensure methodologies are robust, documented and aligned with relevant industry and regulatory standards.
