Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a Production Quality Manager for our client in Wicklow, Ireland. The role focuses on embedding a quality-first culture across production, design, engineering, and installation teams to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a third-level qualification in Quality Management or related field, with at least 5+ years in quality and 2–3+ years in a managerial role within manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a quality role.
• 2–3 years in a managerial/leadership position.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience in implementing, maintaining, and improving QMS systems, including audits.
• Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis and CAPA/8D methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Actively lead and embed a culture where quality is built into the process.
• Coach and support operators and supervisors to take ownership of quality standards.
• Move the business away from “find and fix” to “prevent and improve”.
• Develop and improve standard operating procedures to reduce variation.
• Train production teams on quality standards, defect identification and good practice.
• Work closely with Production, Design, Engineering and Installation teams to close feedback loops.
