Job summary

FRS Recruitment in Meath, Ireland, seeks a hands-on Quality & HSE Co-Ordinator to lead quality assurance, health & safety and environmental activities on-site. You will work closely with production teams to maintain QMS, conduct inspections, investigations and drive continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.

The role offers exposure to HACCP, audits, risk assessments and cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliance and a strong safety culture at the Meath site.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing, food, feed or similar regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, audits, risk assessment and quality systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence to work closely with production and operational teams.
  • Hands-on approach with ability to identify and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the site QMS and HSE systems.
  • Conduct quality, hygiene and safety inspections/audits.
  • Manage product traceability, sampling, testing and positive release.
  • Investigate non-conformances, incidents and customer complaints.
  • Support HACCP, internal and external audits.
  • Complete risk assessments, SOP reviews and corrective actions.
  • Monitor feed/product quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate waste management, hygiene and pest control.
  • Deliver Quality & HSE training and promote safety culture.
  • Provide technical and operational support to the Formulations team.

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established, leading animal nutrition company with over 60 years of industry experience, delivering innovative, science-led solutions that improve animal performance and customer profitability. With operations across the UK, Northern Ireland and Turkey, they have built a strong reputation for technical expertise, quality and innovation.

They are now seeking a Quality & HSE Co-Ordinator to join their Meath site and play a key role across Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and Environmental activities.

Co. Meath — commutable from Kells, Navan, Nobber, Kingscourt, Bailieborough, Virginia, Athboy and surrounding areas.
The Role

This is a hands-on, site-based position offering the opportunity to take ownership across both Quality and HSE, working closely with production and operational teams.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting and maintaining the site QMS and HSE systems
  • Conducting quality, hygiene and safety inspections/audits
  • Managing product traceability, sampling, testing and positive release
  • Investigating non-conformances, incidents and customer complaints
  • Supporting HACCP, internal and external audits

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a practical and proactive Quality/HSE professional with experience in a manufacturing, food, feed or similar regulated environment.

You should have:
  • Experience in Quality, HSE or a combined Quality/HSE role
  • Knowledge of HACCP, audits, risk assessment and quality systems
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • The confidence to work closely with production and operational teams
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to identify and drive improvements
