Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Ireland Quality team. The role focuses on supporting quality standards, engineering collaboration, and regulatory compliance to ensure patient safety and product quality.

The successful candidate will engage in investigations, CAPAs and validation activities with cross‑functional teams, leveraging SAP/SAP ME where applicable. The position emphasizes analytical problem‑solving, strong communication, and the ability to prioritise and deliver

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or technical field.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to apply a risk‑based approach to quality issues.
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross‑functional team environment while developing technical and quality engineering knowledge.
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work within established timelines.
  • Experience or knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, validation activities or regulated industries is advantageous.
  • Experience with Agile, SAP and/or SAP ME would be beneficial.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development, modification, application and maintenance of quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes and finished products.
  • Works collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Participates in investigations, Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and validation activities under the guidance of more experienced Quality Engineering personnel.
  • Assists in implementing and maintaining product control measures to ensure product quality and patient safety.
  • Reviews quality data, identifies trends and supports problem‑solving activities to address quality issues.
  • Supports inspection and testing activities and assists in the analysis of product and process performance.
  • Ensures quality records and documentation are completed accurately and maintained in compliance with applicable regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process effectiveness and operational performance.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
