Job summary

Dawn Meats are recruiting a Quality Control Technician to join the Carrolls Cross Quality Team in Waterford. You will support the production team by testing and measuring product quality to meet customer specifications and food safety standards.

In this busy FSQ environment you will perform hourly checks, collect samples, report findings, and assist audits. A three-shift pattern is required and own transport is essential for site access.

Responsibilities

• Tackle quality and due diligence checks on product on an hourly schedule.
• Carry out daily pre-start checks in production areas.
• Record and report quality information to the quality and production teams for improvements.
• Collect meat and environmental samples for microbial testing.
• Assist QC Team Leader and FSQ Managers on projects.
• Make QC decisions based on data collection and analysis.
• Assist production staff with product safety, quality or traceability procedures.
• Participate in Customer & Third-Party audits; uphold an 'Always Audit Ready' culture.

Location: Carrolls Cross, Co. Waterford

Role Summary:

Dawn Meats are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join the Carrolls Cross Quality Team.

Working as part of the FSQ team to support the production team by ensuring that the quality of the product is tested and measured at regular daily intervals ensuring it meets all production, food safety, hygiene and customer specifications across the production areas.

Responsibilities

Your role will see you tackle a wide range of business challenges in a busy quality and production environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work to an hourly schedule to complete quality and due diligence checks on product, to ensure that it meets required customer and legal specifications.
• Carry out pre-start checks in production areas daily.
• Record and regularly report product quality information and feedback to quality team lead and production team shift manager for quality improvement.
• Collection of meat and environmental samples for microbial testing.
• Assist in projects as outlined by the QC Team Leader, Quality Supervisor and/or FSQ Managers.
• QC decision making based on data collection and analysis.
• Aiding production staff where necessary regarding product safety, quality or traceability control procedures.
• To be involved with Customer & Third Party Audits.
• To ensure a culture of “Always Audit Ready” is implemented within the production area.
