Caragh Precision is a leading medical device manufacturing company based in Parkmore, Galway, specializing in precision-engineered products for the Cardiovascular, Structural Heart, and Orthopaedic sectors. We are seeking a Weekend Quality Control Technician to join our Quality team and support manufacturing operations by ensuring products meet defined quality standards and specifications.
Reporting to the Cell Lead/Weekend Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will perform inspection and quality control activities to support production and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Perform visual inspections of medical device components and assemblies in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
Dimensional analysis of medical device components using measuring equipment such as pin gauges, shadow graphs, microscopes, automated cameras and CMMs.
Verify that products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail during inspection activities.
Complete inspection records and associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Support the achievement of daily and weekly production and quality targets.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline -Equivalent manufacturing or medical device industry experience will be considered.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Previous Quality Control or Quality Inspection experience within the medical device industry.
Experience of working in cleanroom environments
Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with quality inspection processes and documentation requirements.
