Job summary

Vantive in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, is seeking a Chemist to join our Quality team. You will analyze samples, perform tests with a range of techniques including AAS, HPLC, GC, and IR, and ensure data integrity under GMP.

You will collaborate with Quality, Microbiology, Validation, Manufacturing, and other functions to support release and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates hold a Chemistry degree, lab experience in regulated environments, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related Science discipline.
• Experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or manufacturing lab.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Analyse samples from various stages of the manufacturing process.
• Perform testing using analytical techniques and instrumentation (AAS, AES, UV, GC, HPLC, IR).
• Interpret and document analytical data per GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and quality objectives.
• Support validation activities for laboratory methods and equipment.
• Assist with batch release activities and audits.
