Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is supporting a Waterford based food manufacturing client in their search for a Quality Assurance Support. The role focuses on maintaining audit-ready documentation and supporting a busy QA programme on a daily basis.

You will work with the QA team to review SOPs, manage records, coordinate supplier approvals, and assist with regulatory audits and product inspections to ensure compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Previous quality assurance experience in a food manufacturing setting.
• Understanding of HACCP, food safety standards, and quality systems.
• Skills in managing and updating quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Quality Assurance activities to meet operational and certification benchmarks.
• Manage, review, and update quality documents and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate supplier approvals, conduct assessments, and monitor ongoing compliance.
• Review and approve raw material and packaging specs with suppliers, ensuring information accuracy.
• Prepare, maintain, and review batch production records.
• Handle document change control processes.
• Carry out regular product inspections and batch releases during production.
• Perform routine process checks and hygiene inspections, including specific audits.
• Oversee product sampling schedules and conduct environmental monitoring.
• Investigate and log quality issues, supporting corrective action follow-up.
• Provide support during regulatory, customer, and third-party audits.
