Job summary

Archer in Ireland is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to build a QA function from the ground up within a major digital transformation in healthcare. You will shape the QA strategy, embed modern automation, and influence how technology is delivered across patient-facing apps and enterprise healthcaresystems.

You’ll own the QA strategy, drive API, automation and CI/CD testing, and partner with Digital Leads to balance rapid delivery with long-term quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in QA/Quality Engineering
• 3–5+ years in a QA leadership role
• Strong automation experience with modern tools
• Experience embedding testing into CI/CD
• Strategic thinker able to build QA frameworks and influence stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the QA strategy across digital teams
• Assess current testing capabilities and close gaps with high-impact improvements
• Drive automation, API and integration testing
• Embed quality into CI/CD pipelines and release processes

Take ownership of building and embedding a modern QA function within a major digital transformation journey. This is an opportunity to establish the quality foundations, introduce smarter automation and influence how technology is delivered across a complex, highly regulated healthcare environment.

This is not a traditional QA Lead role. There is no established internal QA function, giving you the opportunity to shape the strategy, introduce best practices and build a quality-driven culture across multiple engineering teams. Initially focused on a patient-facing app, you’ll have the scope to expand quality practices across a much wider technology landscape,includingclinicalandenterprisesystems.

You’ll have the autonomy to make meaningful decisions from day one, balancing immediate testing priorities with longer-term improvements. With senior leadership backing and the opportunity to build a business case for growing the QA team, this is a chance to createsomethingfromthegroundupandpotentiallygrowintoabroadermanagementrole.

Youwill:

• Define and lead the QA strategy, establishing standards, processes and governance across digital teams
• Assess existing testing capabilities, identify gaps and deliver high-impact improvements

• Partner with Digital Leads and engineering teams to champion a risk-based approach to testing and release confidence

Skills/Experience:

• 8+yearsinQA/QualityEngineering,including3–5+yearsinaQAleadershiprole
• Strong hands-on automation experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium
• SolidAPI,integrationandperformancetestingexperience
• ExperienceintegratingautomatedtestingintoCI/CDpipelines
• Strategic thinker who can build QA frameworks, influence stakeholders and establish a quality-first culture

Salary/Remuneration:

Upto €75,000+benefits.
