Job summary

ProSource Group in Cork City is seeking a qualified accountant to join the accounts team in a generalist role covering accounts preparation, tax compliance, and audit. You will gain hands-on experience with a varied client base and receive strong support for professional development.

The successful candidate should be ACCA/ACA/CPA qualified or part-qualified, with 2+ years in an Irish practice, and a solid grounding in Irish tax and accounting principles.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CPA qualified or part-qualified.
• 2+ years’ experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Strong grounding in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and some exposure to audit.
• Solid understanding of Irish tax legislation and accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Completion of tax compliance work including VAT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax returns.
• Involvement in statutory audits and audit support work.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Liaising with clients on day-to-day queries and providing proactive advice.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations.
• Supporting junior staff and assisting with their training where needed.
• Ad hoc tasks and assignments as required by the partners or senior team members.
