QC Planning & Lab Systems Architect

Job summary

EyeBio in Ireland (Carlow) seeks a QC Planning & Laboratory Systems Specialist to lead end-to-end planning, coordination, and optimization of QC Release and Stability laboratory activities supporting manufacturing operations.

The role combines lab planning, capacity forecasting, data analytics, and lab systems expertise to ensure efficient sample flow, on-time testing, and GMP compliance. The candidate will drive KPI reporting and continuous improvement across QC operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years in a regulated pharma or lab environment.
• Experience supporting QC lab operations, planning, scheduling or capacity management.
• Experience using GLIMS or another LIMS.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain integrated laboratory plans for QC Release, Stability, Validation, PPQ and ad hoc testing.
• Coordinate sample demand forecasts with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, QA, Stability and others.
• Create/maintain daily, weekly, monthly and long-range schedules.
• Balance workloads across analysts, instruments, testing streams and contract labs.
• Monitor execution against schedules; identify risks, bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
• Support prioritization to meet critical business timelines.
• Develop and maintain laboratory capacity models; forecast short-, mid-, long-term needs.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify resource requirements and mitigations.
• Utilize GLIMS or equivalent LIMS to support sample management and planning.
