Job summary

Regeneron Ireland is seeking an QC Microbiology Associate Scientist/Scientist in Raheen, Limerick. The role focuses on validating sterility, bioburden, endotoxin testing, and microbial identifications, plus writing technical documentation and coordinating investigations.

You will culture organisms, review procedures for accuracy and compliance, and lead troubleshooting while coaching junior staff. A BS/BA in Microbiology with 2+ years’ experience is required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Microbiology or related field with 2+ years validated experience.
• Strong microbiology knowledge and regulatory awareness.
• Experience in QC labs and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Validate sterility, bioburden, endotoxin testing methods and IDs.
• Write technical docs: reports, investigations, position papers.
• Culture organisms and characterize them for investigations.
• Review new tests for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate and acquire new methodologies and equipment.
• Oversee contract lab testing for quality and compliance.
• Set product specs and alert/action levels for microbiology.
• Lead troubleshooting and problem investigations.
• Review validation reports for assays/process/equipment.
• Coach junior staff in good microbiology practices.
