Job summary

AbbVie Westport seeks an experienced Supervisor for the QC Bioassay commercial department. You will oversee the lab, coordinate CBPA and ELISA testing of commercial products, and ensure batch release targets align with plant performance metrics.

You will interface with multiple departments and manage data requests and timelines. The role requires 5+ years in a GMP lab, strong communication, and leadership skills to drive talent development and succession planning within the Analytical Technology

Qualifications

• Experience working in a laboratory setting (5+ years).
• Clear understanding of working within a regulated GMP environment.
• Knowledge of biologi cs manufacturing, bioassays, biostatistics.

Responsibilities

• Provide motivation to the team and take corrective action on performance.
• Hold performance meetings according to policy.
• Recruitment of team members.
• Update attendance and take action as needed.
• Train and certify new employees.
• Ensure activities comply with QA and EHS requirements.
• Maintain capacity and manage staffing constraints.
• Coach Analytical Technology Specialists for succession planning.
• Provide dates for testing timelines to support product release and stability programmes.
• Present team KPI data.
• Attend departmental and OPEX meetings.
• Review and approve local and corporate documents.
• Collaborate withMicrobiology, Chemistry, Production, QA and Planning to ensure timely release of products.
• Review data generated within the team.
