Job summary

Viatris in Ireland (Galway) is seeking a QC Analyst I to perform wet chemistry analysis of raw materials, in-process, finished product and stability samples in accordance with GMP and GLP.

You will support validation programs, participate in continuous improvement projects, and assist in documentation and reporting with strong attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree in a science field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science-related discipline required, preferably Chemistry.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication; ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work in a team and read general business documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; familiarity with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Wet chemistry analysis of raw materials, in-process, finished product and stability samples.
• Routine testing in compliance with GLP & cGMP procedures.
• Assist in sampling of materials and water as needed.
• Support validation programmes including process and method validations.
• Participate in department projects and continuous improvement initiatives (6S/lean).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Role & What You Will Be Doing

• The Quality Control (QC) Analyst I will be responsible for wet chemistry analysis of raw materials, in-process, finished product and stability product samples and completing the relevant GMP documentation.
• Routine wet chemistry testing of raw materials, in process, finished product and stability samples in strict compliance with GLP & cGMP procedures.
• Sampling of raw materials/excipients and water samples when required to assist the QC Sampling Technician.
• Support validation programmes including process and method validations.
• Participate in department projects, as assigned by QC Team Leader/QC Manager.
• Support continuous improvement projects such as 6S and lean processes for the laboratory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About Your Skills & Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a Science related discipline (preferably Chemistry) relevant industrial experience – However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Communication skills both verbal & written with good time management skills.
• Must possess the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.
• Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
• Must possess knowledge of basic/intermediate chemistry and computer skills (MS Office).
