Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in Ireland invites applicants for the QC Analyst I role at our Lismeehan facility, just outside Tulla, Co. Clare.

The position is on-site and supports routine quality control testing to ensure materials, intermediates and finished products meet specifications. The successful candidate will perform testing, prepare reagents, maintain records, and contribute to continuous improvement within a regulated laboratory environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Laboratory experience gained through academic, internship, placement, or industry setting.
  • Experience following written laboratory procedures, test methods, or controlled documentation.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work on-site in a regulated laboratory environment.

  • Perform routine QC laboratory testing in accordance with approved procedures, test methods, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, samples, and laboratory materials required to support scheduled testing.
  • Complete laboratory records, worksheets, logbooks, and electronic entries accurately and in compliance with Good Documentation Practice.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, consumables, and work areas in an inspection‑ready state.
  • Support basic laboratory investigations, assay troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities under supervision.

The QC Analyst I is responsible for performing routine Quality Control laboratory testing, documentation, and support activities to ensure materials, intermediates, and finished products meet established specifications. This role supports compliant laboratory operations by following approved procedures, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to reliable product release and patient-impacting diagnostic quality.

This position reports to the QC Supervisor/QC Manager and is part of the Quality Control team located just outside Tulla in Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare, Ireland and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
  • Perform routine QC laboratory testing in accordance with approved procedures, test methods, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, samples, and laboratory materials required to support scheduled testing.
  • Complete laboratory records, worksheets, logbooks, and electronic entries accurately and in compliance with Good Documentation Practice.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, consumables, and work areas in an inspection‑ready state.
  • Support basic laboratory investigations, assay troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities under supervision.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Laboratory experience gained through academic, internship, placement, or industry setting.
  • Experience following written laboratory procedures, test methods, or controlled documentation.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment requires appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and perform routine laboratory activities for scheduled periods.
  • Ability to lift, move, or carry laboratory materials in line with site safety requirements.
  • No routine travel expected unless required for training or business needs.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Laboratory equipment such as analytical balances, pH meters, pipettes, incubators, plate readers
