Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment's client, a well-established international financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technologist to join a technology team supporting finance and regulatory reporting systems.

This hands-on QA role requires strong SQL, ETL, data quality and end-to-end testing skills, with Agile and Waterfall SDLC exposure. Hybrid work is offered, with three days in the south Dublin office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software testing/Quality Assurance.
• Hands-on QA experience.
• Strong SQL query skills.
• End-to-end ETL testing.
• Data migration testing.
• Data conversion testing.
• Data quality testing and verification.
• Experience with Agile development environments.
• Experience with test plans, scripts and RTMs.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands.
• Experience with test management tools.
• Experience with test automation and/or frameworks.
• Exposure to AI tooling for testing advantageous.
• Experience in financial services is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and execute test strategies, plans and cases.
• Create detailed test scripts and RTMs.
• Collaborate with development, test leads, production support and change management.
• Participate in full SDLC, in Agile/Waterfall environments.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for data validation.
• Perform end-to-end ETL, data migration/conversion, data quality testing.
• Execute testing across complete cycles.
• Utilise Unix/Linux commands for testing.
• Own QA release cycles from prep to completion.
• Identify, document, track and report defects.
• Work with test management tools to manage test execution and defects.
• Contribute to test automation and automation frameworks.
• Explore Generative AI tools to improve QA processes.
