Kinsale Insurance is seeking a QA Analyst to join our Richmond, VA engineering team. You’ll shape testability, define risk-based quality strategy, and build sustainable automation across the software lifecycle from design to release.

Bring curiosity, sound judgment, and collaboration as you translate business outcomes into testable requirements for web-based Java applications. You’ll grow with experienced engineers and QA leaders while helping build a high-performing engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate requirements into test strategies.
• Experience testing across functional, integration, regression, performance, UI, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and QA practices in modern software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Identify, own, and solve quality problems independently and with the team.
• Design and evolve sustainable, reliable test automation delivering end-to-end coverage.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate designs into testable requirements.
• Shape risk-based quality strategies before execution, defining coverage and acceptance criteria.
• Incorporate performance, security, resilience, and observability into planning and testing.
• Clarify requirements with stakeholders and report defects with root-cause analysis.
• Mentor peers and refine the quality strategy and standards.
