Job summary

Archer Recruitment is seeking a Senior Python Developer for a long-term contract. You’ll build a cloud-native SaaS platform in Azure, focusing on secure, scalable web applications, backend services and APIs.

The role offers exceptional remote-first flexibility with only 1–2 days on site per month, and the chance to work with a professional team of Python developers in a fast-growing SaaS and AI company serving global financial institutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ professional software development experience with Python.
• Strong experience building scalable, production-grade Python applications.
• Proven experience developing and integrating APIs and API pipelines.
• Strong SQL and relational database design skills, ideally with PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, high-performance web applications, backend services and APIs using Python.
• Build and maintain API pipelines and integrations, ensuring reliable data flow between applications and services.
• Work closely with Business and Technical teams to shape solutions, rapidly prototype ideas and introduce new approaches.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, helping deliver reliable software at global scale.

As a Senior Python Developer, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving a cloud-native SaaS platform relied upon by market-leading financial institutions worldwide.

Working with Python in an Azure cloud environment, you’ll develop secure, scalable web applications, backend services and APIs, with a strong focus on API pipelines and high-performance software development.
