Brightwater Recruitment in Dublin is seeking an experienced Risk Consulting Assistant Manager for the Public Sector and Not-For-Profit practice. The role focuses on delivering risk-based audits, internal controls assessment and advisory services to government bodies and not-for-profit organisations.

You will mentor junior staff and lead assignments through to draft reports. You will manage client relationships, ensure quality outputs and stay aligned with internal audit standards while

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant or CIA designation required or equivalent.
• Two years of post-qualification experience.
• At least four years in Risk Consulting or Internal Audit in public practice in Ireland or the UK.
• Solid knowledge of internal audit and risk management methods.
• Experience with Government Departments, State Bodies or not-for-profit organisations.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of risk-based audit assignments including complex and routine engagements.
• Gather information from client systems and interviews to assess internal controls.
• Develop high quality audit reports with clear opinions and actionable recommendations.
• Plan workload to meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Build and maintain relationships with client staff across disciplines.
• Lead discussions with finance and non-finance staff on assignments.
