Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a liaison, community engagement, or stakeholder management role—preferably within the civil engineering or utilities sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to confidently engage with the public, business owners, and political representatives.
  • Ability to manage sensitive or complex issues with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure or construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Full driving licence

  • Provide ongoing updates and reports to project managers and other internal teams.

GMC are currently looking for an experiencedPublic Liaison Officerto join our team.

The Public Liaison Officer will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing relationships between GMC Utilities Group, the public, and other stakeholders. This position involves overseeing strategic communications, crisis management, and community engagement to ensure the smooth execution of projects and the maintenance of a positive public image.
