Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Proposals Manager for our Kill, Kildare Head Office. You will lead the preconstruction team's proposal efforts, shaping compelling client-focused submissions that showcase capabilities and competitive strengths.

You will coordinate content across design, estimating, planning, commercial and sustainability teams, ensuring compliant, high-quality tenders that drive win rates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in proposals, bid management or preconstruction in construction, engineering or infra.
• Proven track record leading successful tender submissions.
• Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement.
• Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational ability.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail while maintaining the bigger picture.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full proposal lifecycle from qualification to submission.
• Develop submission strategies, win themes and client-focused messaging.
• Ensure all submissions are compliant, compelling and aligned with client priorities.
• Write, edit and enhance persuasive proposal content.
• Translate complex technical information into client-focused responses.
• Produce executive summaries, methodologies and supporting materials.
• Coordinate input from design, estimating, planning, commercial and sustainability teams.
• Facilitate bid kick-off meetings, reviews and sign-off processes.
• Build relationships with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving submission quality and win rates.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Proposals Manager to play a leading role in securing future work across our Building, Civil Engineering and Infrastructure business.

Based in our Kill, Kildare Head Office, you will be working as part of the preconstruction team, you will be actively involved with how we present our capabilities to clients, develop winning strategies, and lead the production of high-quality submissions that showcase our experience, capability and competitive strengths.

What do you bring to the role?

• At least 5 years' experience in proposals, bid management or preconstruction within construction, engineering or infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading successful tender submissions.
• Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement processes.
• Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills.
• Strong project management and organisational ability.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
