GMC Utilities Group in Galway is seeking an experienced Proposals Engineer to join our team and drive end-to-end bid processes for engineering, utilities and infrastructure projects. You will lead bid management, develop win strategies and coordinate cross-functional inputs to deliver compelling submissions.

This role requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and the ability to work to tight deadlines while ensuring governance and quality across all proposals.

Qualifications

• A Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related technical/commercial discipline.
• Proven experience in the preparation and delivery of successful bids for significant engineering, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing bids from initial opportunity identification and qualification through to submission, negotiation and contract award.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand project cost, value, risk and contractual requirements.
• Ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary tender opportunities within challenging submission timescales.

• Develop value propositions, differentiators and win themes for opportunities.
• Work with stakeholders to develop competitive commercial strategies balancing value and risk.
• Coordinate high-quality technical and commercial submissions aligned with tender requirements.
• Review tender requirements to identify risks and support client engagement.
• Lead and mentor colleagues in proposal preparation and governance.
