Job summary

Glantech staffing in partnership with a leading engineering client is seeking a Project Manager to delivery water infrastructure contracts in the Dublin region. This permanent role sits in the operations department and focuses on planning, execution and delivery of complex water projects.

The successful candidate will manage multi-disciplinary teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and ensure projects meet timelines and budgets in both urban and rural settings.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact and responsible for running numerous projects within urban and rural environments, with focus on urban environments.
  • View projects through a commercial lens.
  • Manage sewer and water connections across the greater Dublin area and surrounding counties.
  • Detail costs to complete values and claims narratives.
  • Build relationships with Clients, Client Representatives, and 3rd party providers and stakeholders.
  • Draft, review drawings with detail for value engineering and efficient design.
  • Study design briefs and prepare design packs from concept to detailed designs with environmental input.
  • Draft and communicate regular status reports and guidance across the business.
  • Lead and motivate an existing team with effective communication.
  • Review construction practicalities of complex design works in water and waste water.
  • Coordinate with multiple levels of staff, departments, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Develop team structures and processes and introduce new suppliers.

Job description

In partnership with our client a leading engineering company, Glantech staffing is currently seeking applications for the position of project manager to support the delivery of key water infrastructure projects. This is a permanent role within the operations department, working on contracts for key utility clients. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex water-related civil engineering projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Be the primary point of contact and responsible for running numerous projects within urban and rural environments, with particular attention to urban environments.
  • Ability to view projects through a commercial lens.
  • Must have the ability to manage both sewer & water connections across the greater Dublin area and surrounding counties.
  • Ability to detail costs to complete values and claims narratives.
  • Building successful relationships with Clients, Client Representatives, and other 3rd party providers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to draw, construct, and review drawings with a high level of detail for value engineering and efficient design.
  • Ability to study design briefs and prepare proposed design packs from concept to detailed designs, with input into environmental, archaeology, and other relevant aspects.
  • Ability to draft and communicate regular reports for the purposes of status reporting as well as guidance across the business with a view of directing actions required.
  • Manage an existing team with communication and leadership skills that are both efficient, effective, and motivational.
  • Review construction practicalities of complex design works within the water and waste water industry.
  • Ability to liaise and coordinate seamlessly with multiple levels of Staff, Departments, Clients, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and any other stakeholders.
  • Interested in developing current team structures and processes with the ability to introduce new people to the company, along with external new supply chains.
  • Manage SI works.
The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:
  • Full clean driver's license essential.
  • Experience with UK or Irish Water Standards (Potable & Foul) essential.
