Job summary

Aerogen in Galway, Ireland, seeks a Project Manager to lead strategic projects across product and process technology development. You will oversee a diverse cross-functional team to drive successful completion of initiatives.

Requirements include a degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years in project engineering. Experience in medical devices is advantageous; PMP/Agile/PM master's desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Bio-medical Engineering, Science or a technology discipline with 5+ years in a project engineering role.
• Experience in the medical device sector is advantageous.
• PMP, Agile and/or Master’s in Project Management is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

What is the role?

The person in this role is responsible for leading strategic projects in various domains including product and process technology development at Aerogen. The Project Manager will oversee a diverse cross-functional team to drive the successful completion of projects.

What are the key responsibilities?

• Project Lifecycle: Responsible for all stage of project lifecycle
• Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, issues, threats, and milestones.
• Team Leadership: Guide and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve their project goals.
• Strategic Leadership: Demonstrate an ability to align project objectives with broader organisational goals coupled with long-term vision & awareness
• Risk Management: Identify potential threats and develop mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Actively maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets.
• Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality control measures to meet project standards and objectives.
• Adaptability: Be flexible & solution orientated to changes in project scope and/or requirements.
• Documentation: Generate reports and documentation to track project progress.
• Closure & Lessons Learned: Ensure proper closure of projects, conduct post-project evaluations for lessons learned and improvements

What education and experience are required?

• Minimum of a degree in Engineering, Bio-medical Engineering, Science or a technology discipline, with minimum 5+ year’s experience in a project engineering role on a number of projects.
• Experience in the medical device sector is an advantage.
• PMP, Agile and/or Master’s in Project Management is very desirable however not essential.

• Familiar with project management tools and methodologies.
