Job summary

Sisk is seeking a Project Manager - Fit Out to lead on-site delivery of high-value engineering projects across Ireland, UK and Europe. You will oversee scope, schedule and budget while ensuring client expectations are met with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires strong leadership, risk management and stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams, with a commitment to HSEQS standards and continuous improvement. A competitive package is offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale construction projects.
  • Relevant health and safety certifications (e.g. Safe Pass, CSCS, SMSTS or equivalent).
  • Professional membership or pursuing membership in CIOB, Engineers Ireland, or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and deliver projects in line with programme, budget and specifications.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, commercial, design and construction.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain reporting on progress, costs, quality and performance indicators.
  • Chair progress and coordination meetings; communicate objectives and outcomes.

The Project Manager - Fit Out is the senior on-site leader with overall responsibility for the successful delivery, quality, safety and financial performance of engineering projects. The role ensures full coordination of all aspects of the contract and that client expectations are met or exceeded. The Project Manager - Fit Out upholds the highest standards in line with Sisk’s HSEQS policies and procedures, while seeking opportunities to enhance project value and profitability.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Plan, manage and deliver projects in line with agreed programme, budget and specifications
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, commercial, design and construction functions
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and implement corrective actions where required
  • Ensure resources are effectively allocated and project milestones are achieved
  • Maintain accurate reporting on progress, costs, quality and performance indicators

Quality, Safety and Compliance

  • Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental performance across all activities
  • Ensure all works comply with design, specifications and statutory regulations
  • Implement and monitor project-specific quality plans, method statements and inspection regimes
  • Support audits, inspections and reviews to maintain compliance and continuous improvement

Commercial and Contract Management

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, variations and project cash flow
  • Work closely with the commercial team to ensure accurate reporting and contract administration
  • Ensure procurement processes are followed and subcontractor performance is managed effectively
  • Support tendering and bid processes where required

Leadership and Communication

  • Lead project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and professional development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
  • Chair progress and coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication of objectives and outcomes
  • Act as the key point of contact for project-related queries, decisions and escalations
Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors
  • Excellent understanding of project delivery processes including scheduling, cost control and quality management
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Experience delivering projects in sectors such as life sciences, data centres, infrastructure or commercial construction
  • Understanding of digital project delivery tools including BIM and project management software
  • Commercial awareness including contract law and cost management principles
  • Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and promote innovation
Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in project management within a Tier 1 construction or engineering environment
  • Relevant health and safety certification (e.g. Safe Pass, CSCS, SMSTS or equivalent)

Desirable

  • Professional membership or working towards membership of a recognised body (e.g. CIOB, Engineers Ireland, RICS, ICE)
  • Postgraduate qualification in project management or business management
  • Training in lean construction, digital project delivery or sustainability practices
