Job summary

Shanahan Engineering seeks a Project Management Support contractor to assist a customer project team with mobilization, planning and governance across the delivery plan. The role tracks benefits, risks, dependencies and reporting with a strong customer-centric focus.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid setup from Leopardstown, Dublin, for an 18-month engagement commencing 1 December 2026 (or soon after), requiring proactive collaboration with external customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of work experience including project management.
• Legal permission to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Experience in a customer-centric environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver the customer project scope, objectives, deliverables and overall delivery plan.
• Produce concise status reporting covering progress, key decisions, risks and areas requiring management attention.
• Translate identified customer pain points and improvement opportunities into a structured action plan.
• Track expected benefits and customer outcomes, such as reduced effort, improved communication.
• Set up an appropriate governance structure, including project meetings, decision forums and escalation routes.
• Maintain a RAID log covering risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
• Proactively identify cross-team dependencies and support escalation and resolution where required.
