Job summary

Job description

Commissioning Manager

High Voltage Commissioning Manager required to join a highly sought after HV Electrical contractor on HV Commissioning projects in Dublin & across Leinster. Our client deliver services in Renewable Energy projects and offer Engineering Design & Consultancy Services across Ireland and the UK. Services include HV/MV Installation, Commissioning, Operation, and Maintenance.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Develop and manage a commissioning team to execute projects in target areas.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Director to expand business lines within key markets.
• Perform SAP (Senior Authorised Person) duties, including HV switching and isolations on live networks.
• Identify and coordinate training needs for team members, potentially including in-house training delivery.
• Lead on-site commissioning efforts until team members achieve AP (Authorised Person) competency.
• Partner with the Health and Safety Officer to keep HV Safety Rules updated per industry standards.
• Manage project milestones, deadlines, and overall programme.
• Plan and coordinate vendor FAT/SAT, with possible on-site attendance as needed.
• Participate in and contribute to daily/weekly project meetings with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
• Oversee the delivery, review, and approval of key project documents, including Test Protocols and Compliance statements.

Qualifications / Skills:

• 3+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
• High Voltage commissioning experience is essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
• A valid, clean driving licence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Goal-oriented with strong people skills.
