Job summary

Fastnet in Limerick is seeking a Project Manager to oversee equipment installation, upgrade and capital projects within a regulated manufacturing environment. You will lead projects from concept through to completion while coordinating cross-functional teams including engineering, production, maintenance and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering (or related engineering discipline).
  • 3–5 years' experience in a Project Management role.
  • Experience delivering equipment installation, upgrade or capital engineering projects.
  • Strong project planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotech or process manufacturing) desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage equipment installation, upgrade and modification projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, maintenance, quality and external vendors throughout project lifecycles.
  • Develop project plans, schedules and budgets, monitoring progress and mitigating project risks.
  • Coordinate equipment procurement, installation, commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Ensure all work complies with site safety standards, engineering procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contractors and external suppliers during project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and progress updates for key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support implementation of engineering best practices.

We're supporting a growing engineering consultancy delivering capital projects across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device sectors. This role will be supporting the successful delivery of equipment installation, upgrade, and capital projects within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will suit an engineering professional with a background in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering who enjoys managing projects from concept through to completion while working with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Strong project planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment such as pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology or process manufacturing is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects to challenging timelines.
