Job summary

HERO Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer to work with manufacturing and installation teams to tender, design and install a range of projects across Ireland and mainland Europe. The role involves close collaboration with data center projects and practical on-site leadership.

You will manage sub-contractors, interpret drawings, prepare quotes, and travel regularly in Europe. This is a hands-on role with an emphasis on delivering on-time installation and coordinated field execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing sub contractors on a construction site.
• Steel work or metal fabrication knowledge is advantageous.
• Good ability to read and interpret drawings and design packages.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Europe.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple jobs and sub-contractors on site.
• Be on-site to troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation.
• Measure, estimate and submit quotes for projects.
• Coordinate with Design and Manufacturing teams on potential delays.
• Lead a small multi-disciplinary team ensuring pre-site prep is complete.

Are you a Project Manager working closely with manufacturing and installation teams to help tender, design and install a range of industrial and commercial projects throughout Ireland and on the continent.

Due to continued growth in our clients business they are looking for an experienced and ambitious Project Engineer who wishes to contribute and participate in the successful growth and expansion of a proven business. Working mainly in the data center industry.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage multiple jobs/sub-contractors and navigate the complexities of site installation.
• Be present at installation to trouble shoot and issues.
• The understanding and ability to measure, estimate and submit quotes.
• Manage a small multi-disciplinary team and ensure that all pre-site preparation work is in place.
• Liaise with Design and Manufacturing teams on potential issues, delays.

Ideally you will have :

• Experience in managing sub contractors on a construction site.
• Steel work or metal fabrication experience an advantage.
• A good knowledge of, and be comfortable with, the interpretation of drawings and the output of different design packages.
• Open to regular European travel.
