Project Manager - Securities Finance Operations & Change
- Dublin (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
- Initial 5-Month Contract
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland (Stamp 1G or Stamp 4)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead operational change, testing initiatives, and process transformation projects within a leading global financial services organisation. This role will focus on driving strategic and regulatory change initiatives, coordinating testing and UAT activities, improving operational processes, and partnering with business and technology stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have strong Securities Finance operations experience, proven project management expertise, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams within a fast-paced Broker Dealer or Prime Brokerage environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Change Management
- Manage end-to-end delivery of business, operations, and technology projects.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Lead implementation of new operational processes, workflows, and control frameworks.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.
- Facilitate governance meetings and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders.
Testing & Implementation
- Lead testing strategy and execution across test and production environments.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, execution, issue management, and sign-off.
- Oversee system, process usability, and operational readiness testing activities.
- Manage defect tracking, remediation efforts, and post-implementation reviews.
- Ensure all testing environments are prepared and supported appropriately.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and strengthen controls.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable process improvements.
- Drive business process re-engineering and operational transformation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and operating procedures.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across operational teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships across Operations, Technology, Risk, and Business teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications.
- Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and steering committee meetings.
- Present project progress, risks, recommendations, and key decisions to senior leadership.
Reporting & Governance
- Produce project plans, management information, metrics, and executive reporting.
- Track milestones, budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
- Ensure appropriate governance and controls are maintained throughout project lifecycles.
- Proactively elevate and manage project risks and issues.
Training & Business Readiness
- Support development and delivery of training materials for new processes and system enhancements.
- Drive change adoption and business readiness activities across impacted teams.
Required Skills & experience
Industry experience
- Significant experience within Securities Finance Operations.
- experience working within a Broker Dealer, Prime Brokerage, or similar capital markets environment.
- Strong understanding of trading, settlements, clearing, and post-trade operations.
- Fixed Income product knowledge is highly desirable.
- Proven experience delivering operational change and transformation programmes within financial services.
Project Management Expertise
- Strong track record of managing business and technology projects from initiation through implementation.
- experience working within structured project management and governance frameworks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- experience leading testing, UAT, and operational readiness activities.
Process Improvement
- experience in business process analysis, workflow design, and process mapping.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent Project Management certification.
- Business Analysis or Lean Six Sigma certification advantageous.
