Job summary

Global Professional Consultants are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a major apartment development in the Greater Dublin Area. The role requires delivering apartment blocks or large-scale residential projects, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

The successful candidate will lead the project team, coordinate with the commercial function, and manage relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders from inception through to completion and aftersales.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience delivering apartment blocks or large-scale residential developments.
• Strong background in large-scale residential, apartment or commercial construction.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure works meet quality, programme, health & safety and environmental standards in line with Building Regulations.
• Prepare and deliver the Project Execution Plan including procurement strategy, baseline/target programme and budgets.
• Own commercial delivery with the commercial team to ensure value and cost control.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and design teams to drive performance and timely information.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including authorities and local communities.
• Oversee full project lifecycle from inception to completion and aftersales.
• Lead value engineering and product development during delivery with building systems.
• Provide leadership to the construction team and ensure adequate resources.
• Set standards and hold teams accountable for performance.

My client, a leading developer, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a major apartment development in the Greater Dublin Area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager with proven experience delivering apartment blocks or large-scale residential developments to take a key role in the successful delivery of a significant project, while developing their skills and career within a rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Typically, the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties:
• Responsible for ensuring works are carried out to the required quality, programme, health & safety and environmental standards, in full compliance with Planning Permission and Building Regulations
• Preparation and delivery of the Project Execution Plan, encompassing key project delivery parameters including Procurement Strategy, Baseline Programme/Target Programme, Budget Targets, Compliance Objectives, identification of key project risks and associated mitigation plans
• Own the commercial delivery of the project in conjunction with the commercial team to ensure value creation, effective cost control and optimal project returns
• Manage and own relationships with project subcontractors and design teams to drive performance, ensuring efficient sequencing of works and timely production of information
• Develop and manage relationships with key project stakeholders, including statutory authorities, joint venture partners and local communities
• Oversee the delivery of the full project lifecycle from inception through to completion and aftersales, ensuring the quality and presentation of the finished apartment development meets company expectations
• Lead the value engineering and product development process throughout the project delivery stage, including the deployment of best-in-class building systems
• Provide leadership and management to the project construction team to drive high performance, employee development and learning, ensuring the required resources are in place to support the construction team
• Set clear standards of behaviour and responsibility for project teams and hold teams accountable for performance

Requirements:

• Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent
• 7+ years’ post-qualification experience
• Proven experience in a similar Project Manager role, delivering apartment blocks or large-scale residential developments
• Strong background in large-scale residential, apartment or commercial construction
• Excellent working knowledge of current Building Regulations and certification standards
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Ability to achieve demanding time, quality and commercial targets
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Methodical, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and as part of a team
