Job summary

ABB Ireland is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead medium-size electrification service projects from Dublin with a hybrid work model. You will drive the project plan, manage budgets and risks, and coordinate cross-functional teams and contractors to deliver value for customers.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in MV/LV project delivery, a degree in electrical/related engineering, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct project management experience delivering MV/LV products or projects.
• Strong skills in project management methodologies with scope, schedule, budget and risk control.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong electrical engineering principles knowledge, MV/LV switchgear and power distribution.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross functional teams and contractors through project lifecycle and close-out.
• Define and execute project plan; monitor progress, resources and finances.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, method statements and drawings.
• Ensure HSE and Quality compliance across project execution.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders; act as customer contact and escalation point.
• Seek continuous improvement and process enhancements.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Work model: Hybrid from our Dublin office
• Leading cross-functional teams and contractors through the project lifecycle and close-out phase by defining and executing the project plan.
• Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials, ensuring delivery within agreed budget and schedule.
• Identifying and managing project risks, while ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
• Developing and maintaining project documentation, method statement, risk assessment, drawings, technical database and preparing handover documentation.
• Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a contact point for customer inquiries and an escalation point for project issues
• Ensuring compliance with HSE and Quality standards throughout project execution.
• Identifying and recommending improvements to processes and procedures.

Qualifications for the Role

You have a minimum of5 years of direct project management experiencedelivering Medium Voltage (MV) and/or Low Voltage (LV) products or projects within the electrification industry.

You arehighly skilled in project management methodologies with a demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, stakeholders and risk across complex projects.

You hold adegree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.

You arehighly adept in electrical engineering principles, with strong technical understanding of MV/LV switchgear, power distribution systems and associated electrification services.

You arepassionate about customer satisfaction and stakeholder management, and innovative around continuous improvement and finding solutions in complex, fast-moving project environments.

You areat ease communicating in English, with strong written and verbal skills to engage confidently with internal teams, subcontractors and external customers.

You have a full Irish driving license and the right to work in Ireland.
