Job summary

Godfrey North is seeking a Project Manager to join a consulting team delivering projects across the public sector in Ireland. The role involves ownership of defined workstreams, direct client interaction, and driving delivery from planning to completion.

You will manage plans, risks and dependencies, gather information from diverse sources, and present concise findings and options to senior stakeholders. Experience in transformation or advisory work is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' relevant professional experience, from a leading consulting firm.
• Experience in project management, transformation, consulting or a similar delivery-focused role.
• Exposure to the public sector is strongly preferred.
• A track record of taking responsibility for projects or significant project workstreams.
• Confidence working with clients and stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sense of complex or incomplete information.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and willingness to take ownership of delivery.
• Ability to work collaboratively while also operating independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activity across client teams, consultants and other stakeholders.

• Gather and assess information from a range of sources, including stakeholder interviews, operational data and policy or regulatory material.
• Turn complex information into clear findings, options and recommendations.
• Produce concise reports, presentations and briefing materials for senior audiences.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops and follow through on agreed actions.
• Support and oversee the work of more junior team members where appropriate.
• Assist with tenders, proposals and other activities involved in winning new work.

The role will suit someone with experience in project delivery, transformation or advisory work who is comfortable taking ownership of defined areas of a project and working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.

Projects will vary in scope and may include organisational transformation, service improvement, change programmes, implementation and wider public sector reform.
