Job summary

Life Science Consultants (LSC) in Ringaskiddy, Cork, is seeking a Project Lead with significant mechanical construction and project delivery experience in pharma/biotech to join a leading biotech company on a contract basis. The role focuses on delivering piping, HVAC, utilities, equipment installation, testing and turnover.

Qualifications

• Significant mechanical construction and project delivery experience in pharma, biopharma or life sciences.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, P&IDs, isometrics, specifications and testing.
• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or Construction Management with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction delivery across piping, HVAC, utilities, equipment installation, testing and turnover.
• Lead engineering and design activities in collaboration with design houses, contractors and vendors.
• Coordinate contractors and manage interfaces with live plant operations, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, RAMS, permits and site procedures.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, cost, productivity and contractor performance, escalating risks and implementing recovery actions where required.
• Support material readiness, change control, technical queries, walkdowns and punch closure.
• Support commissioning, turnover and final project handover.

ABOUT YOU - ARE YOUR SKILLS A MATCH?

• Significant mechanical construction/project delivery experience within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, P&IDs, isometrics, specifications, testing, commissioning and turnover.
• Degree, trade qualification or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or a related discipline, with proven experience leading contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
