EPS Group is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in the Naas or Mallow area. You will oversee engineering activities on municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities, and support the design through installation and commissioning.

The role requires strong planning, problem solving, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Driving license is required and a competitive benefits package is offered.

About the Role

EPS Group has an immediate vacancy for a Project Engineer based from our Mallow or Naas office.

As part of our growing team, you will be responsible for the engineering activities on municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, drinking water treatment plants and various pumping stations.

No two days will be the same, so your activities will vary and will be agreed with the Contracts Manager on an ongoing basis. You will support the design team through the process up to and including the onsite installation and commissioning.

A highly varied, challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Project engineering of water & wastewater pumping and treatment installations
• Assist in procurement of all BOQ items for projects including labour, parts and materials
• Timeline planning of installations from awarding of contract to completion and handover of all documentation
• Assist in management of site labour for projects
• Ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget
• Writing engineering reports, method statements, risk assessments and commissioning schedules
• Responsible for O&M, health & safety documentation and assist with enforcement of safe work practices onsite during all EPS installation

Key Competencies and Skills

• Proficiency in PC skills to include MS office and Project software is advantageous
• Good inter-personal and communication skills
• Strong engineering, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Have a willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater Industry
• Interest in implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time restricted schedule
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish stated deadlines

Qualifications

• Third level mechanical engineering degree
• Similar relevant third level qualification and experience will be considered
• Full EU/ Irish driving licence
