Job summary

Writech is an internationally recognised leader in Fire Protection Systems, seeking a skilled Project Engineer in Mullingar, Ireland. You will oversee planning, implementation, and tracking of engineering projects, collaborating with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include coordinating design integration, maintaining Revit documentation, generating reports, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in project engineering or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2-year Fire and Sprinkler experience.
• Strong technical skills in Fire Protection Systems design and installation.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, organizing and managing resources.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project team members, and senior management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with creative thinking to overcome challenges.
• Experience with Project Management software such as MS Project or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between engineers, architects, and stakeholders to interpret design intent and feedback.
• Facilitate regular coordination meetings to ensure alignment across disciplines.
• Collaborate with design teams to integrate structural designs into project models.
• Resolve design conflicts to maintain project consistency and quality.
• Stay updated on Revit, BIM practices, and engineering software advancements.
• Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, changes, and updates in Revit.
• Generate reports and schedules from Revit models to support project management.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets with management.
• Oversee project execution, resource management, and delivery of project milestones.
• Monitor progress, make adjustments, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Manage risks and address potential issues before they impact project delivery.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely materials and equipment delivery.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Mentor junior project engineers as needed.
