Job summary

Recruitment by Aphex is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead engineering and continuous improvement projects within a pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing environment. You will drive on-site projects, manage budgets and contractors, and ensure timely delivery aligned with EHS and Quality standards.

The role requires a minimum Level 7 engineering qualification, 5+ years in project management, and strong budgeting and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of five years' experience in a project management role.
• Proficiency in budgeting and Microsoft Office.

Purpose

Management, co-ordination and planning of manufacturing operations projects. Ensuring that these projects are completed and handed over on time to the appropriate EHS and Quality standards and within budgetary constraints. To identify and complete engineering solutions for manufacturing problems.

• Report all near misses, accidents or dangerous occurrences to their Department Manager/Supervisor immediately or as soon as is practicable thereafter.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment.
• Project management experience.
• Minimum of five years' experience in a project management role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated budgeting skills.
• Ability to engage and work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Change-management experience, particularly in introducing projects that lead to change.

Preferred:

• Level 8 qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
