Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Ecologist to join our Ireland ecology team. You will contribute to ecological surveys, assessments and reporting across infrastructure projects, while developing your technical expertise within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

You will work with experienced ecologists, planners and engineers to deliver high-quality environmental protections and sustainable solutions for communities across Ireland.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• 3+ years' post-graduate experience in ecological consultancy or related field.
• Good understanding of Irish ecological legislation, planning processes and European directives/case law.
• Experience conducting habitat, flora and fauna surveys and ecological assessments.
• Membership of CIEEM.
• Excellent communication, report writing and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct habitat, flora and fauna surveys and ecological assessments.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports including EcIA, PEA, Appropriate Assessment, NIS and EIAR chapters.
• Provide ecological advice throughout planning, design, construction and operation stages.
• Collaborate with ecologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver environmental solutions.
