Job summary

STS Group in Ireland seeks a Project Director to oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring safety, service excellence and profitability. The role involves commercial management, planning, procurement, construction, QA, health and safety, engineering, and developing project personnel.

Practically, the position can be based out of Waterford, Cork or Dublin offices within a dynamic, growing energy sector team. A strong leadership and HV infrastructure background is essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification.
• 10+ years' experience delivering large construction projects.
• Strong understanding of high voltage infrastructure and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of Irish MV/HV sector and clients/consultants.
• Knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring safety, service excellence, profitability.
• Provide oversight of commercial management, planning, procurement, construction, QA, health and safety, engineering.
• Develop and train project personnel and lead Project Managers.
• Role can be based in Waterford, Cork or Dublin offices.

Headquartered in Ireland, STS Group is a market-leading Electrical and Instrumentation contractor, working on a wide range of mission-critical projects for blue-chip clients across Europe and the Middle East. We are part of the Dussman Group, a large-scale and privately-owned facility management specialist headquartered in Berlin. We have a substantial pipeline of work ahead and looking to add the right people to our growing team.

Our Opportunity

Our Transmission & Distribution division is delivering a number of projects across Ireland, and we are now looking to enable a new Project Director to further grow and manage our project portfolio. This role will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring we meet our objectives in relation to safety, service excellence, profitability, and the development of client and stakeholder relationships.

Our new Project Director will exercise functional oversight over all aspects of the projects under their control, including commercial management, planning, procurement, construction, quality assurance, health and safety, engineering, and the development and training of project personnel. This responsibility is fulfilled through the effective leadership, management, and support of the Project Managers assigned to each project.

This role can be based out of our Waterford, Cork or Dublin offices.

Qualifications and Strengths

• An Electrical Engineering Degree or recognised trade qualification.
• 10+ years' experience of managing large construction projects.
• Strong understanding of high voltage electrical infrastructure, regulatory requirements, and preconstruction strategies.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish MV/HV sector - the clients and consultants.
• Knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages.
• Proven leadership skills with a strategic mindset and strong business acumen.
