Job summary

The Rehab Group is seeking a Programme Supervisor for Vita Community Hub Waterford Day Services in Waterford. The role focuses on supporting the Community Services Manager in delivering a high-quality respite service, including planning, coordinating, and ensuring standards are met for clients with mental health and ID disabilities within a person-centred framework.

• Demonstrated ability to participate in RehabCare training and mandatory programmes.
• Flexibility to travel to various areas in Ireland for training.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of a person-centred service for Vita Community Hub Waterford Day Services.
• Liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams, and staff to ensure high-quality service as directed by the Community Services Manager.
• Document information and complete required paperwork for service delivery and accountability.

About the Role:

The Programme Supervisor will assist the Community Services Manager in the delivery of a quality client focused respite service. They will have a role in the management and planning of the exiting service, supporting clients with mental health & ID disabilities some of whom may present with behaviours that challenge in a person-centred day and community support service. Implementing and ensuring New Directions and RehabCare standards while overseeing the delivery of a quality, customer focused service.

What we’re looking for:

• A Third level graduate, Health and Social care equivalent
• Participate in RehabCare training programmes in line with New Directions regulations
• To attend and adhere to RehabCare mandatory training programmes
• To travel to various areas within Ireland to participate in RehabCare training programmes

Your Responsibilities

• To manage the day to day delivery of a person centred service for all clients who avail of Vita Community Hub Waterford Day Services.
• To liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams and other personnel to ensure the best quality of service with the clients as directed by community services manager.
• To document information and complete paperwork as deemed necessary for delivery of service to the clients who avail of the Service for accountability purpose.

Additional requirements

• Be action orientated; enjoying working hard and seeking challenges with an ability to act and react as required, even in circumstances of limited/incomplete information.
• Be flexible regarding working hours and travel in order to meet the operational needs of the service and organisation.
• Participate in an on-call rota, as required.
• Flexibly adapt to take on other reasonable duties/projects if required by the CSM.
• Full, driving licence is essential.

Closing Date: 21st September 2026

We offer a competitive starting salary of €19.68- €22.80 per Hour (Points 1–5 of the scale), based on qualifications and experience. The 12-point salary scale provides annual progression opportunities up to €28.26 per Hour.
