Job summary

Sherpa Kids is a global organization delivering before/after school and holiday clubs in Ireland, operating on-site at schools. The Programme Assistant Leixlip Kildare role requires an Irish speaker with energy to engage children and support activities from 7:40am to 9:00am and 2:30pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Part-time position paying 15.00–15.75 EUR per hour, with Garda vetting and two written references required, and an emphasis on fostering a safe, inclusive environment for school-aged

Qualifications

• Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Garda vetting required (to be completed after interview).
• At least 2 written references checks before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engage in planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children daily.
• Provide energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assistwith homework and educational tasks
• Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assistwith games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
• Experience working with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year)
• Basic knowledge of child development
• Proficiencyin English, both verbal and written
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
• At least 2 written references checks arerequiredbefore starting
• Fluency in the Irish is needed, as the successful candidate will be required to communicate and engage with the children through Irish as part of the role.
• 7.40am to 9am and 2.30pm to 6pm Monday to Friday
