Job summary

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) invites applications for the role of Programme Assistant at The Bridge, Kilcullen. This part-time, permanent position offers 35 hours per week and a salary ranging from €32,526 to €42,730 per year.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award or equivalent in Community/Health/Social Care.
• 1 year experience with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Understanding of national policy developments in Social Care.
• Experience delivering programmes for adults with intellectual disability/autism.
• Familiarity with the New Directions day support model as developed by HSE.
• Ability to follow plans and meet ongoing needs of individuals supported.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills: Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Full driver’s license and access to own car.

Programme Assistants

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

We are currently recruiting for Programme Assistants to join our team in The Bridge, Kilcullen.

Job Title: Programme Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Parttime (35 hours per week)

Salary: €32,526- €42,730 per annum

What you will need:

• Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework - or equivalent qualification in Community/Heath or Social Care.
• Have 1 years experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
• Experience of running programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism
• An understanding of the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE. A willingness to work in promoting this model within your role
• An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
