Job summary

Camphill Communities of Ireland is recruiting Health Care Assistants to join our team across multiple sites in Ireland. This permanent, full-time role provides 40 hours per week with a salary of €34,884-€43,193 per annum.

You will work as part of a committed team within a leading national organisation supporting people with disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, promoting independence, and delivering person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Hold a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification.
• Have 1 year of experience working with vulnerable adults or those with intellectual disabilities.
• Understand national policy and developments in social care within disability services.

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

We are currently recruiting for Health Care Assistants to join our team in multiple sites.

What you will need:

• Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework - in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Community/Heath or Social Care.
• Have 1 years' experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
• An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.

To assist community members with support needs with all activities of daily living.

Assist community members with support needs to maximise independence.

To promote independence to the fullest, allowing the community member with support needs and provide superior person-centred care.

To work as part of a team and respect colleagues and community members with support needs at all times

To promote safe working practices in line with company policies and procedures.
