Job summary

Camphill Communities of Ireland in Dingle invites applications for a Social Care Assistant on a permanent basis. This relief contract offers 12 hours per week and a salary in the range €34,884 - €43,193 per year.

The successful candidate will work within a committed team to support adults with disabilities, following care plans and ensuring a respectful, inclusive environment. Applicants should hold a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care or an equivalent qualification, have at least one year

• 1 year experience with vulnerable adults or intellectual disabilities.
• Knowledge of current national policy in social care.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• IT skills including MS Office and SharePoint/Teams.
• Full driving licence and own car.

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

We are currently recruiting for Social Care Assistants to join our team in Dingle.

Job Title: Social Care Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Relief Contract (12hours per week)

Salary: €34,884- €43,193 per annum

What you will need:

• Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Community/Heath or Social Care.
• Have 1 years' experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
• An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
