Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Burnfoot, Ireland, seeks a Program Manager NPDI for Busbar LOB to drive cross-functional development and sustaining projects, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and service to optimize time-to-market and cost.

The role requires 3–5 years in project management within manufacturing, strong English communication, and proficiency with scheduling tools; experience with 3-phase power distribution/busbar preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in New Product Development project management (NPDI) and water fall (stage gate) methods.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Knowledge of risk management and risk response methods.
• Familiarity with Gantt chart schedule management.
• Experience with stakeholder communications and KPI reporting.
• Proven ability in project planning and cross-functional coordination.
• Experience leading cross-functional meetings and presenting to groups.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the defined scope.
• Monitor team schedules and coordinate activities on the critical path.
• Provide executive-level program updates to senior management and sponsors.
• Develop reporting tools to track schedule and cost and keep projects on target.
• Identify key issues and drive decisions to prevent project slips.
• Identify risks and prepare contingency plans to mitigate impacts.
• Ensure projects follow the NPDI, New Product Develop & Introduction process.
• Assist project team members as required.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Reports to:Sr. Manager, Global Programme Management- NPDI (Busbar)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Manager is responsible and accountable for the cross-functional co-oridnation and completion of new product development and sustaining projects. These projects range in complexity that span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The Program Manager coordinates the efforts of engineering, offering management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, order fulfillment, logistics, service, marketing, sales and other cross functional groups to optimize time to market while monitoring project and product cost, schedule and resources. The Program Manager must build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with project stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization, to ensure success of the projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the agreed upon scope
• Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path
• Provide executive-level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors
• Develop reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and cost
• Identify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip
• Identify key risks and prepare contingency plans
• Ensure the projects are following the NPDI, New Product Develop & Introduction process
• Assist project team members as required
• Identify and lead continuous improvement projects

REQUIREMENTS

• 3~5 Years of experience in project management (This is an entry level position hence higher experience level will not be considered)
• Must have experience in New product development project management in a manufacturing industry (Experience in IT is not considered)
• Must have experience in water fall ( stage gate) project management method
• Must have good communication skill in English
• Should have knowledge in risk management and risk response methods.
• Should have idea about Gantt Chart schedule management
• Experience in communication management among stake holders
• Experince in project KPI reporting
• Must have experience in project planning
• Demonstrated competence in problem-solving, data analysis, project planning
• Experience leading cross functional meetings and presenting to small groups, both in person and via conference call
• Ability to quickly develop cross functional relationships to achieve business objectives
• Process and results-oriented with proven ability to accomplish goals
• Experience with 3-phase power distribution or Busbar products is preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications,
• Microsoft Project or smartsheet experience preffered
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical engineering preffered.
