Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Project Manager for a leading electronics manufacturing company in Cork. The role focuses on developing strong relationships with internal customers and advocating for their needs to ensure seamless delivery of new programs.

You will coordinate design activity locally and remotely, lead product development and introduction, manage lifecycle programs, monitor costs and KPIs, and communicate status across functions. Travel to Europe, Asia, and the US may be required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or 5–10 years of electronics and project management experience.
• Experience leading geographically spread multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership and communication skills (written and oral).
• Willingness to travel to Europe, Asia, and the US as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with internal customers and advocate for their needs.
• Coordinate development activity with design groups locally and remotely across functions.
• Lead new product development, introduction, and support including production preparation and licensing compliance.
• Oversee programs through lifecycle including obsolescence planning and after-market support.
• Monitor program costs, schedules, KPIs and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
• Communicate program status, participate in group meetings, generate reports, and collaborate with site functions (Finance, Operations).

About Your New Job

• As the Program Manager,youwill develop strong relationships with key internal customers, ensuring their needs are met and acting as their advocate.
• Youwill coordinate collaborative development activity with design groups, both locally and remotely, integrating activities across multiple functions for seamless delivery of new programs.
• Youwill lead new product development, introduction, and support, managing production preparation, procurement, product introduction plans, and compliance with licensing regulations.
• Youwill oversee programs throughout their lifecycle, including obsolescence planning and after-market support, while monitoring program costs, schedules, KPIs, and initiating corrective actions as necessary.
• Youwill ensure clear communication of program status to all parties, actively participate in group meetings, generate reports, and collaborate with other site functions (Finance, Operations, etc.).

What Skills You Need

• University Degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline OR 5 to 10 years of electronics and Project Management experience.
• Additional courses in business, general management, project management, or leadership skills are an advantage.
• Experience leading geographically spread multi-disciplinary teams, production processes within electronics facilities, and product development cycles for electronic products.
• Good leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
• Self-motivated, able to prioritize, and systematic approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to travel to Europe, Asia, and the US as required.
