Job summary

Meta is seeking a Production Systems Engineer to join the Release to Production team in Dublin. You will build tooling to automate critical processes and help manage Meta's production fleet, ensuring high reliability across servers and data centers.

Collaborate with SRE, hardware, networking and data-center teams to diagnose failures, implement fixes, and drive tooling improvements. A strong coder with Linux experience and a solid track record of root-cause analysis will thrive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience coding in a higher-level language (Python, PHP, Java, Go, Rust, C++).
• Experience building, maintaining and debugging production services or platforms in Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis and clear stakeholder reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop tooling to automate business-critical processes for the Meta production fleet health.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and root-cause system failures, delivering practical solutions with partners.
• Proactively identify opportunities to fix or enhance tooling, hardware and processes.
