Job summary

Ohshima Ireland Limited, based in Shannon, Co. Clare, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a fast-paced, precision metal components manufacturing team.

You will drive staffing, production scheduling, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safe operations and KPI targets in a multinational environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, effective communication, and the ability to resolve issues promptly to maintain world-class standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other area supervisors and team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to meet customer demand and production schedules.
• Ensure continuous supply of components to the production line by communicating with stores.
• Meet all production targets as outlined by KPIs and populate target boards to monitor daily progress.
• Address and resolve issues affecting production, including quality, performance, processes, equipment, materials, and labour.
• Direct team members to foster a multifunctional team environment with flexibility to cover all roles.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving equipment and hardware issues.
• Conduct regular team meetings to align on targets, address assembly line issues, and promote a solution-focused work area.
• Drive a positive, can-do attitude within the team, emphasizing teamwork and high standards.
• Communicate quality requirements and standards to the team, ensuring adherence to documented policies and procedures.
• Complete required documentation related to business or regulatory requirements.
• Support and identify continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor and Management teams.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions and ensure an FOD-free environment.
• Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication to drive improvements.
